How stamped concrete works
Stamped concrete starts with a standard concrete pour: proper base prep, reinforcement, and mix design. Before the surface sets, we apply a color hardener and release agent, then press textured mats into the concrete to create the pattern. Once cured, we wash, seal, and the finished product looks like hand-laid stone or brick but performs like solid concrete. No shifting, no weeds between joints, no resetting pavers every few years.

The most common patterns we pour are ashlar slate, cobblestone, herringbone brick, and flagstone. Stamped concrete works on driveways, patios, pool decks, walkways, and entryways. We can match colors to your home's exterior, landscape, or existing hardscape. Borders with a contrasting pattern or color are a popular way to add detail without overcomplicating the design.
Cost and maintenance
Stamped concrete runs $12 to $22 per square foot depending on the pattern, number of colors, and project size. That's typically 30-50% less than natural stone or pavers for a similar look. Maintenance is straightforward: reseal every 2-3 years to keep the color sharp and the surface protected. No joint sand to replace, no pavers to re-level, no weeds to pull.
